Stateside 1969..
While you were there...Growing crowds were attacking and protesting at chemical companies over something called "Agent Orange". Anti-war protesters were everywhere. Sides were getting sharper between military and civilians. Military dependents were having a hard time of it from the anti-war groups. Our small children even had a worse time of it in schools. We flaunted war gear and showed military support..they were burning flags and guys were running off to Canada, Australia, etc. to "hide" from the draft.
Those coming home from VN often treated with rejection/etc. Scars heal over but wounds don't fully heal, do they? Caroline
