Some of you may be aware that my wife is a school teacher. She teaches in a high school here in Maryland. For about the past 5 or 6 years she has on a few occasions had students (from a wide variety of backgrounds) in her homeroom that did not wish to recite the Pledge each morning. She has never forced any student to comply and has been successful at getting them to at least stand and be quiet. If it were me I would ask them to wait in the hall while the Americans honor their country.
