Bob, You are exactly right. The local Anglo population do pronounce it "REE-FEW-RE-OH". The correct pronounciation is "RE-FEW-HE-OH". There is a lot of (Texas) history in that little town, but I have never noticed the locals being uppity. Clanish maybe, but not uppity.
