Mang Buc was a tiny village north east of Kontum way up in the mountains. I only went there one time. I was with Billie Joe and Capt. Weller. We took Lt. Col. Charlie Beckweth up there to check on his guys I guess. We had to buzz the camp to wake everbody up. Finally someone poped smoke and we landed. The whole village came out to meet us, cause no one went up there much. Me and Billie Joe got in trouble for taking pictures of the kids. A special forces Lt. told us they believed if you got their picture on paper you captured their soul, and therefore they could never go to the happy hunting ground. That was my first week flyin in Nam. WE RONed with Beckwith and his gang,and visited every special forces camp in two corp.From Dak Pek in the north to Chereo and An Loc in the south.Thats why I was able yo keep you from gettin lost Shoofly.
