George, there was an UNCONFIRMED story about a 119th guy who volunteered for permanent day guard towards the end of his loop.

They manned one out of about every 5 or 6 bunkers during the day at Holloway.

This boy was catching some rays on top of a bunker one day when he caught some movement out of the corner of his eye...

... so he started watching and followed a dink low-crawling real slow through the wire, headed for one of our claymores. He waited until Chuck got right in front of the claymore, and just as he reached for the mine with both hands, our guy stuck his head up and held up his hand with the clacker in it.

"HEY! DINK!"

("... aw, shit...")

"HEY! LOOKA THIS!"

("... join the sappers, they said... oh sure... you get lots of chicks, they said ...")
