I have read and talked to Ben several times over the past couple of years. Many of the things which he has written about has really hit home. When I first started flying most of our support was in the Dak to area for the 1st Brigade. Several times we had ships which worked helped the 170th that was in the area around the Plei-Trap, Kontum area. Later that month the 1/22nd also was involved in a very costly battle. For all the sacifices of the American forces in the central highlands still many people never have heard of any of the conflicts.
