Rolling Thunder

Well, The bike is ready for the run Tom.....

I finaly figured out the problem I've been having with the GMA brakes locking up on me. The Master Cylinder in the GMA has a tiny pinhole in it for a breather. This lets the pressure back into the Master cylinder and off of the Caliper when you release the brake. Some very tiny "crud" particles got stuck on the plunger side of the breather and wasn't letting the fluid return quickly enough once the brake pedal was released causing it to drag and lock. I just finished pulling both the front and rear systems completely off the bike and completely apart. Right down to the pistons and plungers.... I cleaned the hell out of everything with high pressure air. They went back on tonight and are ready to be blead in the morning. What a pain in the ass, but a relief just the same. The problem has been messing with me for a while now.

I also put some new shocks on the rear and added the '50's style covers to the tops of them. They weren't originally on the '75 but look really nice without giving the bike an "aftermarket" look. I will take some pictures and post them on Sunday. You will like the Derdy covers I got for my birthday last week :-) They fit the look of the bike perfectly, I'm very happy with the result.

How's the paint job coming Tom ? You gotta be itch'in to get on the raod by now !
