One real problem is there isn't really anybody home there. These spammers aren't people, they are cyber-robot programs. The probability is that you will never get a response from the cretins-behind-the-throne. They'll just sell your name and e-mail address to other spammers.

One of my major pet peeves is their theft of my bandwidth (that I pay for dearly) to force upon me crap that I do not want, do not solicit, and refuse to accept. They call it "Freedom of Speech". It isn't, but they have stolen our Right to Privacy in it's guise. What we need in this country is an Amendment to the Constitution that actually specifies as LAW the right not to be forced exposure to that we choose not to be exposed to: an actual Right to Privacy in One's Home and About One's Person.

We also need casual and convenient access to tools that will enable individuals to be able to block the kind of stuff we don't want jammed onto our computers. Even in WindowsXP the Internet Security tools are a joke. Norton will block virus's; but will permit tracking of where you go and what you do on the Internet, and permit theft of private data; all in the guise of commercial enterprise. Dang it, I like WindowsXP, in general. But few of the tools I used to use will work very well with it.

One of the reasons I switched ISP's recently was because the damn spammers took over the other account after I moved to WinXP: between 200 and 400 slicitations every day.
