Paul-good-I tried to find web site where I posted birthday wish to Hope months ago--but could not relocate for Lumpy.Just read in VFW Magazine that Hope's 1st gig with troops was in 1941-and last in 1990-60 tours -1000 shows-for 10 million troops.In 1997 Hope says his biggest honor was given him-an act of Congress made him an honorary veteran."I've been given many awards in my lifetime ," he said"but to be numbered among the men and women I admire most is the greatest honor I have ever recieved." What a class man-he is what America needs-a true John Wayne type!! Mix
