I have been sending packages to a friend's son in Iraq. We send crackers w/cheese (individual packages), ready to eat pudding, chapstick lip balm,sun tan lotion, ball point pens and writing pads, baby wipes (individually packaged)so he can wash his hand and face in the field. I also put a box of zip lock bags in the package (1 gal. size). Sand gets in everything over there and he can use them for storing his food etc. Also included is the ever popular koolaide/gatorade dry mix. Hope these ideas help.
