Both are correct.

Joe first used it in that Wings video, "LZ Vietnam." He says, at one point, "I guess you'd have to call them 'God's lunatics.' They either didn't know any better or didn't care." Then some lunatic comes on and says something about "loving what he did..." That's where Charlie Raines got it for the shirt.

Then a year or two after that, JLG spoke at the VHPA convention in DC, and he used "God's own lunatics" in his speech.

I questioned Joe Kline about it because of the name of his latest print and we realized that we were both right.

Joe Galloway prefers "God's Own Lunatics," so that's what it will be. He has a long history with the 119th, by the way. He used to bunk with Chuck Oualline and Ray Burns at Holloway, and one or both of them took Joe into Plei Me when Charlie Beckwith was holed up there a month or so before Ia Drang in 1965.
