You can bet your butt the 119th was not on the list of "recognized" participants. It was most likely the USAF 120th SOS "Green Hornets" and others like that. (they flew the UH-1 Fs out of Kham Duc with us on a couple of occasions in 1967.) As far as I can tell, the PUC that was given to the ENTIRE 52nd Bn for the DAKTO operations has been reduced to ONLY the Bn HQ detachment by a revision of the awards in the 1980s. With the possible exception of the Bn. commander and CSM, there was NO ONE from Bn anywhere near Dakto during the fighting. So the 119th and 170th (the Units that won it) have been left in the cold again. My bet is, if you have some guy make General and he gets interested, the unit get's it's belated award.
I am disgusted with the entire process.
