1420 hours (C) D Co 1/35 to TOC: Resupply bird, Alligator 443 on a 335 degree azimuth, ½ click from A Co 1/35; 310 degree azimuth, 600 meters, which is approximate grid 090547, received small arms fire at 1425 hours. Slick returned fire. Artillery trying to plan.

1453 hours (C) Alligator 443: Reference entry 55: Was flying 60 to 80 knots, 100 to 300 feet altitude.

1604 hours (C) Our resupply bird, while enroute to A Co location spotted an estimated platoon of dinks. 1 ran into the tree line 5 to 8 clicks away west of LZ Ruth. A Co ZA102510. (The journal did not identify this resupply bird but I assume they were probably referring to Alligator 443)
