Flight,
It would take to long to tell of the good time I had at the Reunion so I'll just give you some of the highlites.
Met 3 other former 119th guys:
Spencer Gardiner, Croc Gunner 65-66.
Todd Rexford, CE 66 -67 1st flight. I do not remember him but if any one else does he can be contacted at todd2511@lisco.com. Told him about the site. Bob T, Todd said he spent some time in the 545th.
Ron Jernigan, CE 68 -69 Crocs I think he also said he spent some time in slicks.
The highlites of the reunion were; Beer, Brotherhood, Beer, Food, Brotherhood, Beer, Lack of Sleep, Beer, More Beer, not necesseraly in that order. The best part came on Friday, and I know most of you will be jellous, The Huey Ride, yes I said Huey Ride. An actual Vietnam combat veteran aircraft. Upgraded rotor system (540) Cobra Engine (1400 Shaft Horespower). Able to fly with ease with 10 yes I said 10 adults plus the Pilot, Co-Pilot, and Crew Chief. Maintained a stedy 100 knots at about 84%. It gets better, I got to sit in the left well right BEHIND THE M-60 and I have photos to prove it. The flight lasted about 18 minutes and they even got permission from the FAA to go low level (Tree Top) then down a small stream before pulling up. I'm still higher than a kite and it only took about 10 seconds to feel right at home in that Bird.
Photos to be posted soon.
