I've finally had a chance to really stop and look at our coin.
Whew. It turned out great.
After the bulk shipment arrived, the first envelope I made up was to Joe Galloway, who months ago graciously allowed us, or encouraged me, to use his famous "God's Own Lunatics" line on our Company coin. Joe will never, ever, forget living and flying into combat with Chuck Oualline, Ray Burns, and all the other 119th Holloway guys in the early days of the war. And he will probably never forgive being dropped into Plei Me, come to think of it. Anyway, those of us who came after those guys owe them all.
If anyone wants to let Joe know that you appreciate his consideration, he'd love to hear from you.
The VHPA honored Joe with the callsign "Dancing Bear 6" a few years back. We, and all warriors past, present, and future, have no better friend than Joe Galloway. Even if he does bleed Cav Yellow. Nobody's perfect.
