Just the facts.. Bob

It was jan 28th 1979,it was 10:30 at night I was working the late shift at the Post office been there for 5 1/2 years, anyway this bully had most of the workers scareed of him, he was stout he had pointed shot guns at people in the parking lot, would come out of the dark and accuse them of talking about him.just a little paranoid. but that night he said someone had thrown beer cans all over his yard and said it was me, so he was wound up. I didn't do this as that was my bowling night and only had enough time to leave the alley and get to work. that night he came over to my work area look down the isle and I knew somthing was up, but kept work I anyaway, tried to egnore him hoping he would go back to his work area, not this night as he came down the isle he brushed up against me went past me a couple of letter cases turn around and came back but this time as he past he pushed me toward my case I suprised him when I hit right below the left eye grab him by the shirt and down he went I was on top of him so fast he had no time to react to me by the time he did four letter clerks and a supervisor was there tring to pull me off him they finally got me off he jump up sucked in his gut and his pants fell down around his ankles. postal inspectors wasn't to impressed with me but after 5 years of walking on eggshells around there it was bound to happen, guess I was the only one with guts to put a stop to him.I was not the only one to have trouble with him, 14 others had minor run ins.Of course managemant and the union knew about him but they was afraid of him also he even threaten to shoot a supervisor once but he was too scared to do anything about it.we lost 30 days pay and he was forced to retire as soon as he turned 55 that was in july 1980.so now you know the rest of the story.. just the facts Bob.
