Dear Lorraine,

Hi Babe! I hope things are going OK at school. Things here are about the same. The weather today was good for a change so we got plenty of hours in. My attitude is better when I’m busy.

We had a party last night to celebrate Sunday and I our hooch maid was pissed. The place was a mess when we got up this morning. Everywhere you stepped was covered with beer cans. I had a splendid hangover that made the first hour of flying rough. I’m gonna have to quit this stuff when I get home. I’ve developed a few bad habits over here that need to change so maybe you can help me find some replacements when I get home.

I got a letter from you yesterday and you said I haven’t been writing much. I know I have so I checked and found that I have been using a wrong address. If the mail gets returned to me I will re-send them. Sorry for the mix up.

I wish I had more to tell you but things here just about the same. We started a new mission for the 4th Infantry today. They are setting up firebases in some new areas so I think it’s going to be busy for a while. Tomorrow we have two CA’s and then re-supply if nothing happens.
