Dear Lorraine,

Hi Honey! You must be very busy since I haven’t had a letter in over a week. I’m not complaining because I haven’t been writing much either. When you do you need to start using a new address for me. I have been transferred to the 189th AHC. I’m still at Camp Holloway in Pleiku just in a different place. For my new address just put 189th AHC instead of 119th AHC, everything else stays the same.

The reason for my transfer to the 189th is because they are new in country and they also do not have any experienced people. If the Army did not swap some people, at the end of a year the whole company would go home at once. Also they need crew chiefs and pilots that been here for a while to help teach the new guys about flying in Vietnam. It won’t have any effect on when I come home and that’s a good thing. Other than that I pissed about the whole thing. My Peter Pilot and Door Gunner are cherries. The only good thing is that my Pilot Mr. Borders is from the 119th so he will be OK. I’ll let you know about this crap later.

I got a letter from my Mother yesterday and found out that she just got out of the Hospital what a shock. She said she had a tumor removed from her stomach that was the size of a grapefruit. Other than that she is fine. I don’t consider that fine I wish I knew more about what’s going on. I need you to check on her for me when you have time and let me know what is up.

I’m going to make this short so I can write her. Other than all this stuff everything here is OK. I’ll let you know more later about the 189th.

Love
Tom
