Hi all- Americas Huey came through the Austin/Lakeway area last week. As a Viet Helo Pilot , I was asked to join the team as a local Veteran. We visited several schools in the area. There was advance notice and we had an enthusiastic reception. In their auditorium they listened to the role of soldiers, sailors and airmen in our services and what they have sacrificed starting with the Revolution. This Huey will be a part of an exhibit in the American Heritage Museum at the Smithsonian for thirty years. If you search on google for 'Huey 091' or 'americas huey' you will get to their home page. Click on PHOTOS and a list will of locations are given. Select 'St Andrews' and 'Lake Point' . These are the locations we visited. Check photos. I had stick time and donated 119th Co and Croc Patches plus a D/101/101ABN patch(Hawk 3).
