Just goes to show that the men who served as air crew members were the best that there was. Later in my military career I found that the air crew members were the top military members available. Intelligent enough to perform any activity and they had the drive to do it well. Only petty jealousy and fear of the capabilities of air crew members caused problems for us. Everyone wanted us to work for them, but most were afraid that we would exceed their capabilities, so they put us down in order to improve their status, or to prove to themselves that they were better than us.
