The youngest pilot I can remember was Paul " Sparky " Heller. Kid from Chicago, graduated high school at 17 and joined the Army with his Dads permission. Showed up in Nam at 18 or early 19. Kid was a south paw and could hover as good with his left hand as he could with his right. Always reading comic books, and always smilin. I don't think he would have pass for 16.
