Before I enlisted my older brother was drafted, went to Engineer OCS. They discovered a bad eye 3 weeks before commissioning, no Combat Arms. Moved him to AG. The SON OF A BITCH spent two years as an LT in the personnel office at Ft Ord, living in a rented house two blocks from the beach in Carmel with 3 other LTs, hot & cold running babes, luaus, the works, playing golf with the Post Commander, writing to me in Pleiku.

I got to visit a couple times while he was there, and we went back a couple of times a few years later. Never really liked him after that, tho.
