Just a quick note to let you know that the reunion has been rather scattered without Tom Frankenfield and Roy Daniels. They were the instigators last time, but we are still doing well. Jim Beattie has been here since last Friday, and Caroline arrived here Sunday morning carrying breakfast.

Gil Palmer got in to the VHPA last week on Thursday, and I had a friend drive him up to see his sister in Bonham, Texas while she was on the way to the farm, then I picked him up on Sunday when I was enroute the VHPA final function on Sunday afternoon and evening. Gil and I returned to the farm Sunday Night.

On Monday Mike "Bon Bon" Bonthius and Pete "Beatle Bailey" Daly showed up for a while. Mike stayed until Bob Taylor and Calvin Bohanan showed up, Pete had to return to work down in Corpus Christi so he left before they got here. Bob Taylor cooked his infamous "Swamp Chicken" and we all chatted for hours. After the meal, Calvin and his grandson, Caleb, left to return to Mt Belview, TX. just East Of Houston. We got word that Gil Palmer had a family problem so I drove him to Bonham, TX. where his sister lives on Tuesday night. Bob Taylor stayed here til today in hopes that he would get to see "Shoofly" but Bob departed at around 1300 today.

Shoofly called in today at approximately 1630 and stated that he that he was in Oklahoma headed our way. John Morrison arrived shortly after Shoofly called in and we called Shoofly to pester him while he was driving.

Caroline and I helped John and Donna Morrison set up their campsite, then Caroline and Donna heated up the "Swamp Chicken" and we all ate and talked till after dark.

As of this note, Shoofly is still headed our way.
