About six years ago I started playing with the idea of writting a book about Operation Wayne Grey which our unit was part of during March and April of 1969. Between postings which I saw on other web sites and the creation of this web site by Mark it inspired me to do something which I never dreamed possible.

My English teachers in High School would grade most of my papers with a gallon of red paint and a three inch brush. With the help of my wife and Bob K. I have put together a book of what happened during those 45 days. Although it is not the complete story of what happened, I believe it is an factual story of what the air crews of the 119th went through.

This was the cheapest way to have the book published. I don't believe anything has been printed about this operation and I wanted to put out the information which I had in the hope it would inspire others to tell their stories about what happened there.

Many of the stories which I relate to are the some type of things which happened to other crew members during their tours. I tried not to make this a "ME" book but the only way I was able to tell the story was from the way I saw it.
