I have missed some postings but if SP4 Eddy G. Sumpter served with any of the men on this site, you can be sure he should have had the Medal of Honor, as should all the men on this site. If you ever heard their stories or read any of their recollections, you would be very very proud to be related to your relative.
I have had the privilege of hearing many of their recollections during the past 3 years of their reunions. People don't make up and embellish tales when their peers who were there are listening. They rarely relate these memories to anyone else, if ever. Everyone on here will deny being a hero. That's just the nature of REAL heroes.
No one worked with the 119th that wasn't part of a total winning group who gave their all in Viet Nam. Be proud. You deserve it. Caroline
