By the middle of 1970 things had changed. We had nose art and names galore. The 317 was named "The Lively Gator" after Warren Lively, and had the gator on the shield on the nose brandishing an M-16. We also had "Grace Slick" and "Miss Irene" and "Miss Barbara Ann" and "Hi Fi" and "Gruesome Gator".
