Their job ain't to be a nice guy. It is to be fair, firm, no nonsense and kick ass when it's needed. And the good ones were nice guys when a troop's family had a problem.
Old Don W Quinn seemed like a good one to me back in 67. He sure kept the 545th and my ass in shape. Now some of the folks may have a different opinion. If so, I'd like to hear it.
