With all the hype of the new attack helicopters and the nostalgia for the Cobra it would sure be nice to see a full documentary on the UH-1C, not since WWII has air to ground suport been delivered with such ferocity and accuracy. They may have been slow and but so was the A1E Skyraider. I would love to see a documentary on a day in the life of an AHC, no, not Marines, not Jolly Greens but the down and dirty men who provided most of the support to our ground troops in the Nam. Flying UH-1's from Ash and Trash to full combat assaults to medevacs to the crews that manned the choppers and the men that maintained them. It is a story that begs to be told. Somebody's next book? I certainly hope so. Brother Tom
