Given the latest action in Fallujah, Mosul and Baghdad, our WIAs are increasing rapidly.... approximately 2500 evacs to CONUS in the past two weeks....

Fisher House, similar to the Mologne House at Walter Reed, (where the Schmitzes were lodged) is a non-profit bunch providing housing, funds, travel, and immeasurable support to the families of our folks WIA--- the Molgnle House is more a "hotel" atmosphere,
but the Fisher House system is more home-style, with full kitchens.

A local radio station, WMAL, started a fundraiser this past Veterans' Day week, and has raised over $300K, as of this morning... their target was 1/4 mil. This all from phone-in donations, and donations through to their website.

They accept also "frequent flyer miles", and have had almost 3 million donated, which they distribute to families of the WIA.
