The 1/35 was operating around Duc Co 25 Nov 1968. This was an email my squad sergeant emailed me regarding the Thanksgiving meal:

Dear Dave, I remember well this day. After walking around all day through thick foliage and crawling through it having to use our machetes, we ended up having to rewalk through the same things to get back. It was like having a video rewind while watching it. Then after setting up, they decided to provide us with a Thanksgiving dinner in 105 mm casings. How do I remember this? It was because I had to eat it out of my steel pot (helicopters brought out the meal but no plates or utensils were sent). I even have a slide of it.
