Each of everyone of us who were there fought a different battle. The battle that changed us from what we were to what we became. Many a day you covered my back as I covered yours.

Wars are not fought by soldiers for leaders or flags or ideals. Soldiers fight for each other with the hope that we would all make it home. Some of us remember while others try to forget. The one thing that stands true is we were there for each other.

We entered a brotherhood which few will ever understand. The bond is deep and will never be broken. We were all alone as our worlds changed during those times and we did it together.
