Occasionally, I will receive an email that was intended for the author of a post, not for me. This is happening because folks are replying to site generated email, thinking that the email was sent by the author. To help get your emails to the intended recipients, I'll post a quick little lesson on how the site works.....
To start, the site uses "blind email" to help keep your information private. This means that even though you add an email address to your postings and profile, no one can see that address except the Administrator (that's me). To continue to allow users to contact each other privately, we use an "email form" that you can fill out to send a private message to other people on the site.
OK, with that little bit out of the way, here is what is happening......
When you post a message on the board you have the option of receiving an email for each direct reply to your post. You can select or de-select this option at the bottom of the form you fill out when creating your message. The check box states "If you'd like e-mail notification of responses, please check this box:" If you check this box, the site will notify you every time someone posts a direct reply to your posted message. This email is generated by the site, not the author of the posted reply so if you reply to it, your email will come directly to me instead of going where it was intended to.

The easiest way is to post your reply on the board. Sometimes though, you want that reply to be private, so....
To reply to the author, click on the link within the email you received. This will open CampHolloway.com in your browser along with the message the email was generated from. In the left column of the message is the authors information and an icon of an envelope. Click on this icon, a form will open that you can fill out to send your private message.
If you signed up or "subscribed" to the site, you will receive similar emails for every new post. Follow the instructions above to privately reply to the author of these posts.
