There is nothing better then the weather in Chicago to keep you on your toes. Last week the temps were in the low teens and the wind-chill was well below zero. Today it's almost 60 degrees with bright sun and blue skies. I almost feel like firing up the John Deere and cutting the grass. I have never had to trim grass around Santa and his reindeers which guard my front yard during this time of year but this could be a year of firsts for me.

We are busy making different plans for this evening. Dick Clark is still under the weather so there is no sense in counting down the ball in the "Big Apple" without him. I guess we will have to settle for a pay-for-view and toast the new year in that way.

If a man's worth is judged by the friends which he has made during his life, then I have been rewarded beyond my dreams. To each of my friends which I visit here, Have a Happy and Safe New Year!!
