Sorry Lumpy, but this was the craziest friday I have ever had!!! Paul jr and I finally got to process out of the med hold company we cleared all points in 1/2 day, but when it came to getting signed out of the Company it took us twice as long.. IDOITS everywhere. and then when we tried to change our flights from the 3rd to the 28th we found out that Paul jr had no ticket, plus there was no spots available to Srpingfield until monday morning, this is 3:30 pm.. so we called his social worker and she gave us the wrong bldging to check for a ticket.. well this gets better. so we are looking for the room number givin to us only to find out that we are in bldging 1 and need to be in bldging 11..now it's 4:00pm a civilian by the name of Mrs Paul ( no not the fish lady)asked if we needed help, we told here what was happening, and things happened so fast my head is still spinning.. she and her boss (a retired LT Col) Judy spent the next two hours making phone calls and getting two tickets for Paul And I, we left Balt. airport 6;30 a.m. today and was in Springfield 11:30 a.m. our time... only God Knows how this all came together.. I do know one thing.. NOTHING has changed when it come to the ARMY..Paul jr Made the trip very well he walked through most of the airports walked into the house from the Car.. he is now heading to Ft reilly to see his buddy Bill Walker as he is heading back to Iraq for a second time.. more later as I unwind..
