If you're talking with him again, Bob, please let him know I was not intending to stir anything up for VHPA, I was simply passing along a message that I received. You are right also, though; "pulling the post" is exactly the wrong thing to do. Facts are facts, and the fact is that the CHPA guys sent that message out to the public.

From my perspective, and for example, VHPA is the outfit that still won't allow me access to a directory of pilots so that I can find old friends. (I know; you and most pilots would. VHPA won't.) I don't wish the association ill, but I'm not going to bat for them, either.

However this develops, it involves a lot of people who have a right to know what is happening, good or bad. Whatever I find out as it proceeds, I will pass along to the guys entitled to know.

Not that it makes any difference to former crewmembers, I suspect it can all be traced to mistakes or grudges from many years ago that were buried or ignored. Or, more likely, as you say, m-o-n-e-y.
