"The boom installation was sort of a pain, but JP4 cleanup with a soda straw was a hoot. Already had ice and water in place, if you know whut I mean... "

yowtch. Bob- you ARE aware of the US M1
Apparatus, Personal Convenience, String, Arctic, Field Expedient, are you not?

if not, the general "theory" (for REAL, from personal experience) is that when the boom is exposed to frigid air, and instinctively, automically takes the path of least resistance to warmth, so- with the device, it's a little easier to recover and place into operating position, utilize, and re-stow.

ALWAYS remember to leave a little "feed" exposed for next "fire mission"...

Boy, are we getting down into the weeds here, or what? :)

on another, less tacky subject, whassa op freq for the wireless? I ask 'cuz I had a buddy sell me his entire Panasonic phone system for $50.00 (base unit, three phones, two with wireless (plug 'n play) contact to the base, and chargers. He paid over $450 for it, and there was a freq interference with his satellite TV and IP for the Web at the 2.4Ghz op freq. When his phone would ring, he'd have a mess online, and when he surfed, the phone acted up, so he upgraded the phones to 5.something Gig.

He has (bless his generous heart) more money than planning. I can't wait 'til his '56 T-bird needs an oil change :)

(Thanks again, Bro John!!)
