I was an MO and a Batallion IP on my second tour. I got shot at on recovery mission and I killed a lot of fish and frogs with the cobra. I went on missions when they called out the IPs to deliver the goods in bad weather like once at ripcord. But that was in a slick. With the cobra I have killed dead tanks, shot up thickets, killed a pig and maybe a cow. I was ready with the cobra but the call never came. I do not want to take credit for stuff I did not do. My scariest time was the night I had OD and Holloway was attacked in Jan 67 Me and SP/5 Lawson were under fire from a machine gun in the middle of the runway. Scared me so bad I forgot his name. LOL. I called him Lawarence. Again on the ground in 70 when I had to move the reaction platoon forward during a rocket attack. No hero here. Nor bad ass. Just a patriot who believes in the phrase "Duty, Honor, Country, It is one thing to say it,It is another to live it." I lived it and still do.
