Mix,

Huey is almost right... Get a bike that you fit on, then worry about what type of riding your going to do. I know all kinds of people that ride all kinds of Bikes. Some are very comfortable on their bikes and ride them safely, every where. Others bought bikes that they thought were cool, but aren't the right bikes for them. Consequently, they have problems. Example - I have a friend that bought a full dresser. He and his wife ride it everywhere. Problem is, he's a short guy. In one year he's dropped it twice. Once, while he was stopped on a bridge and caught a gust of wind and the second while he was in DC. He stopped on the right hand side of a road that had a left hand roll off. He could only reach the ground with his Right foot, over he went..... fortunately, he didn't catapult his wife into traffic.

Sounds silly and probably doesn't need to be said but there is more to a bike than how good it looks parked outside the bar. No matter what you buy, it will still look like shit when it's twisted up like a pretzel on the highway. If you have a Harley and you're lucky, the worst that happens is you just fall over and cause $5000 worth of cosmetic damage. Of course you will also have to find another group of guys to ride with who don't know you fell over... :)

1). Fit First
2). Type of ridding second
3). Cost third
4). Amount of chrome fourth (unless you just plan to trailer it everywhere and park it... then chrome first...)
