In Houston, the deer all go to NASA and get on the grounds of the Space Center during hunting season. I have seen as many as 30 in the 10 acre area East of the main building. The deer will look up if you walk out to where they are and slowly move away from humans, no panic at all. Then when hunting season is over, they go back into the woods around Armand Bayou, you see them there all the time. Of course that is a game preserve with no hunting.

The deer there are smarter than the hunters, but then again, a doe walked into one of the department stores in 1994. The people in the store had one hell of a time getting the deer out of the store, of course it was a ladies appearal department store.
