I simply do not understand why they feel the need to go with the, "toughest of all" "better than" "best pilots" etc. stuff and insult everyone else who served. They are also taking statistics for all wounded and claiming they were all saved by Dustoff, when we all know that most were extracted by assault ships (on "dustoff" missions).

They are denigrating others, they are lying, and their self-aggrandizing pursuit of a special award is embarrassing and inappropriate. They insult us and they insult field medics.

Dustoff crews did great work. Some Dustoff crews accomplished amazing feats. But their generally exaggerated claims in recent years are insulting, inappropriate, and untrue. And they know it, which makes it dishonorable, far worse.
