Folks,
I just returned from San Antonio and the VHCMA reunion.(It was my first). You may be pleased to know that TWO 119th guys are in the executive group of that outfit. Ton F was elected VP and will be president after next years reunion, and Spencer Gardner (old gunner type, retired senior NCO and general all arounf nice guy) was elected member at large. I think he's been executive Director and other things before, so he's a known leader. Several of us pilots (myself, Bill Dobbs, Roy Daniel, Baby Huey etc) from the 119 were there and as usual, our GIB's (Spence, Willie Mayhan, TomF, to name a few (there were several more Gator folks but I'd had martinis))saved our ass and made us feel welcome. It was a thrill to meet all those fine men again.
Tell Tom "Congrats" when you send to him. He will make a great leader of the band. When I last saw him about 9 AM today he and his first lady Loraine were geytting ready to return to Fla. She worked hard in the reunion office to make the get together a success and deserves a special thanks.
