Thanks Willie, it's a great little cabin.
It's come a long way the last couple of years. When I bought the property the cabin was completly grown in and the roof had rotted right down through the walls in a few spots. You can see in the last picture on the left of the roof, that my brother and I changed the roof line a little. That was part of the problem as the roof line created a trough that collected all kinds of junk from the trees. I shoveled about 7" of compost off the roof in that area. I have replaced 98% of all the bad wood in the cabin so far. I spent last summer jacking the cabin up from underneath, leveling it and resetting the cabin on new pilings in a few spots. Also cleared out about 20 + trees.
This year was the new chimney and roof. Once the roof is done (and before the snow comes) I will rip the porch off and put in a new deck under the roof.
Nice stone fireplace inside with 2 bedrooms and believe it or not, 2 bathrooms.... one 1/2 bath and another with a shower. The 1/2 bath is coming out and will become the utility room (for water heater etc.).
There will be a flag pole outside the front of the cabin, mounted into the rock ledge that is there. Next to it a large rock with the plaque BT had made at the foundry in memory of Marty and 297.
Nothing fancy, just a nice place to hang your hat clean the guns and pet the dog :-)
