I didn't get in any legal trouble during the whole trip. The new truck has cruise control and I set it on cruise at the speed limit or a little below and just enjoyed the scenery. I didn't even get in any trouble in STURGIS. The police were watching the other people too much to mess with an old fart like me.

STURGIS WOULD MAKE A CRAZY PLACE FOR OUR NEXT REUNION, YOU DON'T HAVE TO RIDE A BIKE TO GO THERE. I camped at Glencoe and the total cost for camping was $125 per person for the entire 15 days or any portion of it. Glencoe was a large part of the craziness of Sturgis, and the stroll at night was insane! All sorts of partying, and a lot of fun. Next year I am going to drag my small trailer so that I can carry my camp set-up for the time there, Glencoe doesn't charge for trailers containing bikes, campers are another story. Glencoe has showers, and food on site for those who choose not to cook, and lots of shade for those that get there early. They even have potties that are cleaned several times each day and completely drained, flushed and refurnished at least one time each day (four-holer out houses). Glencoe even has a few water faucets in the tent camping area, but you have to get there early to get really close to one of them. Otherwise, about 200 feet of hose will reach most campsites. Food in the entire area is rediculously expensive there, so cooking would save a lot of money. Other than buying cooked food, shirts, special deals on bike parts and memorabilia, the stay at STURGIS was rather inexpensive.

There were numerous live concerts throughout the entire area, many in the bars were free and very crowded. Other concerts, on private property, could cost anywhere from $10 to $35 to attend and the shows varied from well known entertainers to local bands. Man what a blast!

I'LL VOLUNTEER TO ARRIVE EARLY TO ESTABLISH A MASS CAMPSITE FOR NEXT YEAR'S REUNION IF THAT IS WHAT THE GROUP WANTS.
