As most folks know, when I am on the road in my ford F-150 there's a fully loaded 45 Army M1911A1 and 2 mags of ammo with it located in the center console.
On my belt is a little 32 cal Beretta automatic with some really hopped up Ammo. Now if I am going Cross country for any length of time, I have my double barrel coach gun under the back seat with 30 rounds of number 4 buck shot (.25 cal balls)(27 balls per barrel) just in case a real fight breaks out. Like I said, My snit is armed. And the number 4 is my claymore. Some yankee liberal may call me paranoid or redneck or what ever. I call it being prepared. sort of like insurance. and 2 times I have had to show that 45. Once to a mexican trucker who thought his 40 tons of metal gave him absolute road rights, and the other time to a couple of low lifes with detroit plates on their rattle trap car who felt that an old man and woman on a lonely strech of Texas highway were something that they could have sport with. Basically I said Welcome to Texas to each of the SFBs and did not have any more trouble. A big army 45 and a determines look get's a lot of attention from thugs. It is called brandishing and is illegal except when you feel your life is in danger. at that point, I'll argue the finer points of the law after I solve the problem.
