Speaking of snits, I made that same "come on down" challenge to an A-7 driver back in 72. He was on a test flight out of LTV and over lake whitney and I was out having fun in my twin engined cobra. Damnedest dogfight Texas ever saw. The safety officer threatened to ground me and irony of Irony, 2 years later I was briefing General Cannedy on the tactiics used.
The A-7 driver was frustrated and finally said "I won't dog fight your ass, I'll bomb you". We never had the power and rotor thrust to accelerate away from a bomb pattern so we both learned valuable lessons. He learned a helicopter could kill his butt if he got careless and we learned to fear bombers.
