I should have, but didn't... and in my "south 40", it would have taken WEEKS to find, even with a metal detector.

No doubt I'd have uncapped if they'd made a move to approach, but after the light went out, they had no clue where I was, and the back yard drops rapidly to about ten feet lower just past where I stood, so'd they'd have to have been Bob Hayes or Emmitt Smith to have gotten near me before being aerated.
