Hot refuel on a V-Rod is virtually impossible, the key that turns the bike on is the key that releases the seat. One has to turn the bike off, and then rotate the key to the left to release the seat. One would have to remove the locking lug in order to be able to hot refuel. Not gonna do that, I enjoy the tank security a little too much to disable the system.
