The crew of Gator 297 were all from 2nd Flight or "Blue" Flight. I can't remember exactly when Billie took over Gator 297. I think it was around the time we went on FOB missions. That would have been in August 1968.

Marty and Eddie were assigned to that ship when Marty made A/C {aircraft commander} which was late September or early October. I pulled several RON {remain over night} missions with them during October and November at Dak To.
