Thanksgiving November 1966 was spent doing resupply one recon extraction and the day ended with the hot meal runs to the guys in the field. At that point in my life Turkey was not food and when we got back to Holloway the leftovers in the chow hall were cold. I think I ate some mashed potatos with gravy and headed for the Hooch and a Shower (you guessed it COLD). Next on the list was Hopps Barley and Malt.

It did feel good to make sure the the guys in the field had a Hot Turkey Dinner and I am sure they appreciated what we did for them. This was my third week in the air as a Crew Chief.
