Just passing on an e-mail i recieved today

Good Morning!

I know you have already chosen your next reunion destination. But for the future I would like to suggest that you consider Eugene Oregon and Lane County !

Recently we confirmed the Southeast Asia ASA Association (Old Spooks and Spies) for 2007, and the USS West Virginia reunion for 2006. The Berlin US Military Veterans have confirmed here for 2008 and we have several more in the process, just waiting to confirm. We just had the GHQ First Raiders Reunion here and they said it was their best ever! Don't forget us when planning your next available reunion, we'd love to take your group to the giant dune buggies on the coast (http://www.sandland.com/grouptour.htm) and include The Sea Lion Caves (www.sealioncaves.com) Heceta Head Lighthouse (http://www.hecetalighthouse.com)

and hot clam chowder in Old Town Florence (http://www.tourflorence.com/ ). We have some wonderful new additions, like the stunning King Estate Winery where they make prize winning Oregon Wine, beer, and pear schnapps. They have recently added on a new visitor's center that will easily seat 300 people or more, and the location is so lovely, it's very European. See their website at www.kingestate.com. Of course we have all of our terrific shopping, the Oregon Air and Space museum, The Marathon Motorcoach factory tour, and so much more to do, you won’t have enough time! Don’t forget all the recreational activities that abound in the Mckenzie River Valley! ( www.el.com/to/mckenzierivervalley/recreation

For hotels we still have the wonderful Hilton Eugene, with their exceptional service, and Valley River Inn, right on the riverwalk. New hotels will be opening in 2006 and 2007. The Spruce Goose is now at the Evergreen Air Museum and while it is about 1 ½ hours away, could be a day trip if you have enough time, after seeing all there is to see here in beautiful Lane County.

So, when you are choosing your next available reunion location, please remember us, we want you here. We delight in showing off our beautiful county and our excellent amenities....and we are proud to honor our veterans. If you’d like to come for a site visit let me know and I will make hotel and tour arrangements for you.

Warm Regards,

Sue Krug
